Happy New Year!
The mulled wine event was a great success, and it was such a lovely day! It was a good opportunity to raise awareness in the community of what we do and the fantastic progress at the site. It was good to see a couple of members there, too.
Boxing Day at Workhouse Wood
The proposal document is still evolving as we progress. You will see that my thinking is that a Woodland "Trail" might be a better sell than a "Nature Reserve". I look forward to your comments. You can read the proposal by clicking - it will give you a good idea of what's going on.
Help still badly needed!
One member has helpfully stepped up to the plate, and another is coming to recce the job. Chrissie will do some days in January but I still badly need cover for when I MUST do some paid work. I promise you it's not arduous but for compliance reasons we do have to have someone on site. You can muck in and help as far as you want and are able to. Out of the 108 people that this email goes to I really hope some that are not engaged elsewhere will be able to help out. It really is a fantastic project. You can see the days that are not presently covered on http://www.pceg.org.uk/notice.htm
It is planned for Sunday January 10th from 7pm.
Four stalwart members have already told me they cannot come this year. I have booked The Star and they have promised to close the usual little bar at the end for us. I think we'd better say now that if you do intend to come please email me by Tuesday midnight - otherwise, lest Chrissie and I are forced to just chat to each other, I think I will have to cancel for lack of numbers! To those on this list that haven't got that involved yet, it would be a great opportunity to come and say hello and get to feel part of things, The usual plan is to bring something to peck at.
Very Best Wishes to all
